Heading

Heading tags are used to define the headings or titles within a webpage. HTML provides six levels of headings, ranging from <h1> (the highest level) to <h6> (the lowest level). These tags indicate the hierarchical structure of the content.

Example:

heading.html

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
    <meta charset="UTF-8">
    <title>My Webpage</title>
</head>
<body>
    <h1>Heading Level 1</h1>
    <h2>Heading Level 2</h2>
    <h3>Heading Level 3</h3>
</body>
</html>

Output

Heading Level 1

Heading Level 2

Heading Level 3

The heading tags not only define the visual appearance of the text (usually with larger and bolder font size) but also convey the importance and structure of the content to search engines and assistive technologies.
